Halloween, Baby, And Everything In Betweeen!!

Wow, it has been awhile for me to do some posting! I have been SUPER busy at school. I sometimes feel like I should live at the school. I drive to school in the dark and when I leave after school it's dark! I keep telling myself, someday it will get better! It has to right?

Anyways, everyone keeps asking me to put pictures up of Baby Sudol growing in my tummy! So, today I will deliver. Before Chad went out hunting he snapped a few photos of us (baby and I).

This is from earlier today... 23 Weeks Pregnant. Can't believe that we are on the down hill slope. It seems though as time is slowing moving forward. I just want to see this baby, know what sex it is, kiss this baby, and love up on this baby! So, I am hoping that the holidays go fast and February will be here before I know it!!

These next few pictures are from my classroom. The kiddo's helped me decorate the room. They had so much fun! I am hoping to score a few good deals tomorrow on Halloween for next year. Then I will have more things to decorate with in the classroom.

The ghosts hanging are made out of cheese cloth and liquid starch. I loved making these with the kids! It was VERY messy but we all had fun! I even made a few for our house. I have some hanging from the lights over our table and in the entryway!

I hope that everyone has a good Halloween! We are passing out candy and silly bandz at our house this year. Please come:) My mom and I both keep track every year of how many kids we have. The past two years I have been the WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!!

Enjoy your weekend... we have nothing planned and I have enjoyed that. Got some baking done today, took a nap, and cleaned. I think that it's now time to sit down and relax while I watch the rest of the Iowa game! Go Hawks!

Finally Getting into the Swing!

I feel like I am finally getting into the swing of teaching. At first I was totally overwhelmed with my new teaching job. I brought things home every night and worked until it was time to go to bed!

I am now working like a fool during the day to get my tasks completed so I don't have to bring LOTS home. I still bring about an hours worth of things home every night but that's better then what it was!

With this extra time at home I feel like I am being a better wife because I am able to get things done around home. Like cook meals that are not frozen!! I feel like I am a better daughter because I have more time to spend with my parents and talk to them more frequently. I feel like I am a better teacher because in my free time at night I am thinking how I can do things better. Not thinking, "oh man, I am freakin' exhausted!"

Chad and I are thinking about working on the baby room this weekend. We are thinking of taking the old furniture out and picking some paint colors. Missy (my sister-in-law) made this beautiful quilt for the baby. So, I am probably going to pull colors out of the quilt to paint the room in.

I am thinking about pulling the tans out... I have this cute idea on some artwork for the room. I think it would be neat for the baby's cousins to paint some pictures for their new cousin. I have two nephews and one niece. I was thinking about having them paint with the colors that are in the quilt. I also have some good ideas for some sayings to go on the wall. Oh my... before I know it Baby Sudol will be here!!! I totally can't wait!

I go in next week for my 20 week appointment!! I am ready to hear that heartbeat again. It always makes me feel better after hearing the heartbeat. I told Chad we needed to invest in one. We thought about trying to "steal" it from the doctors office... my purse was to small! Just kidding! I WOULD not steal!

I hope that you have a good rest of the work week! It's almost Wednesday:)

Introducing Baby Sudol

Okay. Today was awesome. I mean awesome. We went in to have the ultra sound and I couldn't sit still. I was nervous, excited, and many other emotions. I actually left school early today so we would be on time for the appointment. We ended up getting there about fifteen minutes early and got right in.

When they put first put the wand thing on my stomach I just watched Chad. I wanted to see his reaction first, even before what I wanted to see! He was standing with his arms crossed and had a stern look on his face (he was concentrating on the screen). And in an instant, he put his arms down, and I saw the biggest smile come on his face! If I could bottle that moment up, I would. That was seriously one of the top tens in my life! His eyes started to glaze over and he looked at me and gave me the most comforting look. I then looked at that screen and fell in love! My baby, OUR baby, is a work of God. I could see feet, arms, head, and the tummy. Thank you God for giving us this baby! We didn't know if we were ever going to be parents, and this moment blew those old memories out of my mind, FOREVER!!

Uhh, I can't even think straight right now!! So, here are some pictures of Baby Sudol. Now I had to scan them in so they might look fuzzy.

We have an envelope at our house that tells us what it is. We were unsure if we wanted to know or not. Still trying to figure that out. At this point I think that we will wait.

I better get going, I've got nothing planned for supper... and we usually have eaten by now! GRRRR.... says my tummy and Baby Sudol!!

I don't think I'll sleep tonight...

Tomorrow is the big day... ULTRA-SOUND!!!!! I can not tell you how excited we are about this. I cry like a baby every time I hear the heartbeat...I better take my own box of tissues tomorrow.

Now, the question is...to find out or not to find out! We just don't know what to do. Yes it would be awesome to find out early(what a great surprise). We could get more things purchased like clothes, etc. BUT what a surprise it would be to find out when you see that baby in real life!!! We keep going back and forth on the topic. I think at this point (8:15 PM) we will be asking them to put it in an envelope. This way if we want to know at a later time we could find out!

Post a comment on what you think we should do! I know what my Mom is going to say... DON'T FIND OUT!!!

15 Weeks!

YEAH! I am four days away from being sixteen weeks:) Today we walked into the doctors office a minute late, to wait almost 20 minutes! I keep telling myself, you have to wait for good things. While waiting I told Chad, "I am going to take my jacket off and my shoes before they weigh me!" Chad thought I was crazy... I don't want that added weight. I was happy to see that I only had gained two pounds since the last appointment!!

At the appointment we got to hear the heartbeat. That makes me so excited everytime. It just puts it back into reality for us that this is REAL!!! After all of the waiting it is our turn to be Mommy and Daddy!! When the heartbeat was going, I started to cry. Then the nurses started to cry. The nurses say that we are one of their favorite couples:) Today, we could hear the nurse scheduling our utlra-sound. She said to the lady on the other line, "Are you the one that will do their ultra-sound on that day?" She then said "You ARE SOOO lucky to get to do that!" She then started telling the other nurse how fun we were. She said to the other nurse, be careful though, Sarah will make you cry because she cries!! We just love our nurses and the doctor is really down to earth. He was talking football with Chad today! Chad was in hog heaven!!

In two weeks we go to have our ultra-sound!!!! YIPPEEEE... We have to make sure that we tell them MANY times that we don't want to know what the baby is.

Well, have a good rest of the night and week! Tomorrow is already Wednesday:)That's a good feeling to have!!

MIA

Yes, I have been MIA lately! Sorry... It has been crazy around our house lately! Who am I kidding? It's always crazy!!

Yes, school has started. It started off very stressful, and has now moved to be very rewarding.

During the days before students arrived I was very nervous, anxious, and many other feelings. I couldn't believe that I was going to be in charge of fourteen students learning for a year. Think about that! I AM the ONE responsible for their learning. That is mind boggling to me. I just can't look at it like that. I am the LUCKY one who gets to be with these fourteen students for one whole year. Teach them as many things as I can, and be satisfied with that!

Now that we have been in school for almost three weeks, I am less stressed. Don't get me wrong, you might catch me at a moment when I am stressed to my limit, but things are better! I am actually able to sleep at night now! I used to wake up at all times in the night and think of things that I need to do. I have now come to the realization, if things don't get done... the students wont be able to tell!!

I have been so exhausted lately. Not only because of teaching, but because of being pregnant. I hate blaming me being tired on it, but it's true. I am sleeping every night by eight or eight thirty! It's horrible.

Tomorrow afternoon we go to the doctor for my four month check-up. I can't wait to hear the heartbeat again. Last time I cried like a crazy lady. I asked Chad Dean if he was ready to hear the heartbeat and he said he is. He said he can't wait for the ultrasound around week twenty! That will be awesome:)

Today we watched my nephew, Maverick. That boy is seriously the happiest child I know! He never stopped smiling. I was folding clothes and Chad was laying with Maverick trying to get him to smile. I was watching Chad and I realized that our baby is going to be SO lucky to call him Daddy! I had tears in my eyes watching him coo and talk to Maverick. I know it's gushy, but it's true. He is going to be the best Daddy. When we got married we had to go to a marriage group at a local church and discuss things with each other. At one session we had to tell each other what made us love the other so much. You know what my husbands number one was?? (okay cue the tears...) That I was going to be the best Mommy someday. And I will NEVER forget him telling me that.

Anywhos.... enough with the mushy stuff! I will TRY and post tomorrow night about what the baby's heartbeat is:) Have a good night and a SHORT work week!!

Last Vacation of the Summer:(

We just recently got back from our last vacation of the summer! It was a vacation that I was hoping for relaxation, and that's what we did! Every day we were in Okoboji, we took a two our nap!! Yeah, I know it's bad! We sat poolside everyday, went for a boat cruise usually around dusk, and enjoyed our time with one another and Chad's family. (Oh, and we did some shopping too!)

Here are some pictures from Okoboji

This is looking out from the dock. We stayed at The Inn in Okoboji. It was VERY nice. It was totally out of date with the decor BUT that place was SOOO super clean. Every morning around seven they had about fifteen workers going through the grass picking up every single piece of trash! It was very clean! We said we would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Here is a picture of Chad trying to catch some fish off the end of the dock. It was funny because all the guys wanted to catch fish. Well Chase needed to run up to the room to get something and he asked me to hold his pole! This poor kid hadn't caught a fish all week. What happens? I catch a fish on HIS pole!!!

Yes, this is what you think it is... a $200,000.00 BOAT! YEAH IT WAS CRAZY!

Okay last picture of vacation (sorry if it's boring). These are catfish. They weighed between 20- 25 pounds! YES I said 20- 25 Pounds! They are HUGE. We actually saw a young guy catch one. He worked for over fifteen minutes to get this big one in... he was freakin' pumped when he got it on shore! I clapped for him (Chad gracefully stopped my hands and said that I was embarrassing! I didn't care... that man deserved to know I was proud of him) HAHA

Well, it's official.... school starts in less then a month! I CAN NOT believe it! I probably am one of the only people that say this towards the end of the summer, "School is starting! I am EXCITED!" I probably am saying this because it is my first year. I am sure that in a few years I might being saying this instead, "NO, NO, Not school!!!!" or "The summer goes to fast!" SOOO, I am soaking up this year and I am going to enjoy every little part of it! I went the other day to my classroom to work... talk about overwhelming! I am can't wait to get back in there and put my own touches on everything. I have some special helpers that are going to help me get my room ready in the next couple weeks! Of course my husband is going to help, my mother, and my friend (Connie) who I student-taught under! I about cried when she called and asked if she could come over and help me get my room ready:) If you know her, you know how nice of a lady she is!!

Well, I don't really know to much else................ Oh, wait! I am forgetting one VERY important thing! Chad and I are going to have a baby:):) Baby Sudol is Due Feb. 26th. Chad and I keep thinking that this should only be a three month process! We are ready to Mommy and Daddy already! We had been trying for over a year, so we couldn't believe it when we found out! I swear that is all we talk about anymore. This is what our household conversations sound like, "What if it's a boy/girl" "Will we find out what the baby is? (NO by the way)" "What color should we paint the room when it gets closer" and many others! BUT we can't wait to meet our little Baby Sudol!

Our poor Pugsly though. That dog is going to have a life change! She currently sleeps in our bed... not going to happen in seven months! She gets ALL of our attention now.... not going to happen in seven months! She is completely spoiled... probably will still happen!! I seriously think that she knows something is going on because she wont climb on me anymore. She usually sits on me to watch tv or climbs on me to get attention... she has not once done this! They say dogs have a sense about those types of things! Weird... but we will still love her once the baby comes, it will just be harder for her!

Okay, now that I have written a small chapter for my book! ha ha ha. I hope you enjoy your week! I will try and update more... just have many things on my mind! School, baby, pugs, family, and everything else:)
